Teramo In Abruzzo Italy

• December 2008 – Wwf advocates of a bicycle path from the town of Teramo in northern Abruzzo to the beachtowns of Giulianova and Tortoreto on the Adriatic coast will conduct an event 6/7 January 2008.   Planned is a bicycle ride from downtown Teramo along the Tordino River.   The destination is very near the old Villeroy and Boche manufacturing facility in zona Gammarana.   The formale name of the event is: “La Teramo – mare nel cotesto della rete ciclabile dell’Abruzzo Teramano”.  Similar events are planned in future months, one leading from Teramo to San Nicolò.  One organizer of this event is Lucio De Marcellis, a well known bicycle path advocate from the city of Teramo.
